Reforming PIT for sustainable growth

As thousands of public and corporate employees file their Personal Income Tax (PIT), Bhutan stands at a fiscal crossroads to potentially reform the PIT system. The current annual taxable income threshold of Nu 300,000, unchanged despite rising inflation and economic shifts, no longer aligns with the realities faced by Bhutanese.
