The town of Akungba-Akoko in Akoko South-West Local Government Area of Ondo State was agog and came alive on Friday for the burial of late Pa Gabriel Adelabu Ologunorisa.Adelabu-Ologunorisa, father of Prof. Temi Ologunorisa, Vice Chancellor, Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa, was buried with pump and pagentry.Late Adelabu-Ologunorisa, fondly called "Brigadier" aged 93 was born in 1932 to the illustrious Ologunorisa family in Ododo clan, in Akunmi of Akungba, died on Nov. 8, 2024 in his town.The burial ceremony kick-started on Thursday with the wake keep ceremony at his residence in Akungba-Akoko, heralding the burial ceremony.The preacher, Pastor Samuel Olusegun Oladele, President, Christ Apostolic Church (CAC).Nigeria and Wordwide, in his sermon urged all human to dedicate their lives to Christ and live a peaceful life extenching love to all human beings.While extoling the virtues of the late Ologunorisa, he said that there was no doubt that he lived a dedicated life to God and a peaceful life to mankind with evidence of the mammoth crowd at the burial ceremony.According to him, We are created to live a Godly life and be good to everyone we come across on our ways, nothing is left again in this world because after death, judgement is the next and your judgement depend on the kind of life you live."I beseech everyone here especially the children to emulate the legacies of their father whose life was worthy of emulation,"Oladele said.Prof. Ologunorisa, said that, he would missed his dad for his show of love, dedication and support for his children welfare and educational pursuit."He's a pillar of support, he did not only entrench his love and support to only we the children and family alone but to others around him too and the testimony shows from the crowd here today, I will definitely miss him, he said.Barr Samuel Ologunoriosa (SAN), founder of Sam Maris University, Akungba-Akoko and the eldest son, described his father as an extraordinary and remarkable man who understood the transformative powers of learning, saying that he ensured that all his children received education he never had."His sacrifice and determination bore fruits in the form of children who are highly accomplished professionals, I will indeed miss him," he said.Prof. Francis Igbasan, a former Deputy Vice Chancellor, OAUSTECH and Vice Chancellor Macpheson Univerrsity, Ibadan also urged all and sundry to always live a life worthy of emulation at all times with every human.Late Ologunorisa left behind his wife and children who are among the ranks and file in the country as well well as several grandchildren and great grand children.Dignitaries ranging from, traditional rulers, academicians, politicians, business moguls, staff and students of OAUSTECH were guests as the ceremony.Fuji King, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, (K1 De Ultimate) thrilled guests to good and danceable Fuji music at the classy and talk of the town funneral
