Lagos govt to demolish shanties, illegal structures in Itu-Mara

The Lagos State government has marked shanties and other illegal structures in Itu-Mara in the Mainland local government area of the state for demolition. The General Manager, Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA), Mr. Gbolahan Oki, disclosed in a statement issued by the agency’s Director of Public Affairs, Mr. Adu Ademuyiwa, on Wednesday. He said the government aims to improve the area’s overall appearance and functionality. According to Oki, the removal of illegal structures was a step toward planned and sustainable growth.
