Tinubu appoints governing council, principal officers for federal universities
President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday appointed Senator Binta Garba as the Pro-Chancellor and Chairperson of the Governing Council of the new Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences in Iyin Ekiti, Ekiti State. The Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to the President, Bayo Onanuga, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja. Garba, a politician, businesswoman and administrator, represented Adamawa North Senatorial District in the Senate from 2015 to 2019. She also served in the House of Representatives from 1999 to 2011.
