Euro 2024: Spalletti To Remain As Italy Head Coach

Luciano Spalletti will remain as Italy head coach despite the team's ouster from the ongoing Euro 2024. A 2-0 defeat to Switzerland saw Italy surrender their crown as European champions. Following the team's elimination, there were calls for Spalletti to be relieved of his position as head coach. "You can’t abandon a project after 8-9 months." The defeat to Switzerland was the first time Italy lost two games in a particular edition of the European Championship.
