Take Part In 1xBet Cup Nigeria 2024 Amateur Tournament With Prize Pool Of 20,000,000 NGN!

From July to September 2024, 1xBet betting company will hold the second-ever tournament supporting grassroots football in Nigeria. Join the football festival as a player or support your team in the stands! How does 1xBet contribute to grassroots football development? As part of the 1xBet Cup Nigeria tournament, 1xBet gives football players a chance to showcase their talents. The first edition was held in 2023 and attracted over 40 teams from Lagos to compete for a prize pool of 5,000,000 NGN. FC Bariga team won the competition and was awarded the grand prize of a 1,000,000 NGN check. In 2024, 1xBet will continue to delight the residents of the country's largest metropolis and will host the 1xBet Cup with an impressive prize fund of 20,000,000 NGN. The main tournament goal remains the same—to support young athletes and Nigerian amateur football. “I am thrilled that 1xBet Cup in Lagos is becoming a tradition and our young players have a chance to show their talents. It is important for us that all participants and fans feel the atmosphere of a big football tournament, so the matches will be held in large stadiums with professional referees. I hope we will see a lot of great goals, and brilliant saves and learn about new talents who will eventually become worthy successors to Jay Jay Okocha, Nwankwo Kanu, and other Nigerian football legends,” said Mr. Waidi Akanni, the tournament organizer. "We are proud to invest in grassroots football. Last year's tournament was a real football festival, opening new opportunities for many young players. Each team represents their community, inspiring and uniting people around them. We are delighted that our work is bringing joy to the people of Lagos and hope that they will once again enjoy the tournament,” said a 1xBet representative. Applications for participation in the tournament via the website (https://1xcup.ng/) will start on June 21. This competition is only for amateur football clubs in Nigeria. The main part participants will be determined as follows: 10 teams will go directly to the group tournament, and 20 teams will play the qualifying matches for the remaining 10 places. After that, the participants will be divided into 4 groups of 5 teams each. The group winners will advance to the playoffs, and 4 more participants will be determined in the wildcard round, where each group's second and third places will compete. A match consists of two 35-minute halves. A minimum of 11 players per team is required to start the game. Standard yellow and red card rules apply (a red card results in ejection). If the score remains tied after regulation time, two 15-minute extra time periods are played.
