Sodje: Finidi Not The Right Man To Lead Super Eagles

Former international Sam Sodje has said Finidi George is not good enough to lead the Super Eagles. Finidi has endured a poor start to his reign following the Super Eagles poor performance in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic. The West Africans held Bafana Bafana to a 1-1 draw and lost 2-1 away to the Cheetahs. They now languish in fifth position on the Group C table with three points from four games. If you sack him, what are you expecting to get? Well, yes. Coaches are being judged for results. He has not got his results right now," Sodje told Brila FM. "We aim to qualify for the World Cup. If we keep going the way we’re going, we won’t qualify. So, it’s not about Finidi George, it’s about what we want. "So yes, sacking him might not be the worst idea, because we need to be in the World Cup." The post Sodje: Finidi Not The Right Man To Lead Super Eagles appeared first on Complete Sports.
