DICON at 60: Defence Innovation Challenge: Minister Matawalle and DICON DG Maj. Gen. Edet Invite Innovators to Showcase Solutions

The Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Muhammed Matawalle and the 24th Director General of Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria's (DICON) Major General Aniedi Effiong Edet have invited innovators, startups, and research institutions to present their cutting-edge solutions that can enhance national and regional security through the Defence Innovation Challenge at the Maiden Africa Defence Industries Conference (ADIC). Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Muhammed Matawalle, made the call today, 12th August 2024 while declaring open the DICON 60th Anniversary, alongside the launch of the Maiden Africa Defence Industries Conference (ADIC). The landmark events which will take place from August 14-15, 2024, at the Shehu Musa Yar'Adua Centre, Abuja is themed, "DICON @ 60: Future Frontiers in Africa's Defence Technology," underscores government commitment to advancing defence capabilities through strategic partnerships, innovation, and technological advancementsThe Defence Innovation Challenge is an event organized as part of the Africa Defence Industries Conference (ADIC) .
