Gov. Eno Performs Ceremonial Groundbreaking for Ahooha Barracks, Commends COAS General Lagbaja For Prioritizing Soldiers' Welfare

The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, on Thursday, 29 August 2024, laid the ceremonial foundation for the Affordable Home Ownership Option for All Soldiers (AHOOAS) project during the groundbreaking ceremony held in Nsit Atai - Uruan Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. Represented by the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Akwa Ibom State, Uko Udom (SAN), the Governor commended the leadership of the Chief of Army Staff for his unwavering dedication to the welfare of Nigerian Army troops while expressing his delight to be part of such a landmark initiative.Speaking as the Special Guest of Honour, Governor Eno lauded the leadership of Lieutenant General Lagbaja and his commitment to ensuring that soldiers not only have access to decent living conditions but also the opportunity to own their homes. He emphasized the significance of the AHOOAS project in boosting the morale and well-being of the troops, which is essential for maintaining a strong and effective military force.
