Staff Quarters commences soon, FUOYE VC, Fasina assures

By Ken Gold, Ekiti The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Oye -Ekiti Professor Abayomi Sunday has disclosed that some roads that are just being constructed by his administration will be named after past Vice Chancellors of the Ivory Tower.He made this disclosure during the groundbreaking foundation laying of the Fasina Conference Center at Phase IIIof the institution on Monday, September 2, 2024.Newsline NG gathered that the conference center was named after the Vice Chancellor, Professor Abayomi Sunday Fasina while the council approved the take off. Fasina while commending the committee members, urged the community to always cultivate the habit of appreciation His words "I want to thank the Director of the advancement center, Professor Olubukola Oyawoye, and her team for this great work, I  also want to thank the Committee Members "I've always been looking for a way to expand this university, because we have so many initiatives that management delve into, we are writing development plan and we're making progress."We're going to commission a lot of projects on this campus, including the Smart Virtual ICT center, so anywhere you are on the campus you can browse that's what we're doing right now.."Some of the roads are going to be named after Past Vice Chancellor's Soremekun Road, Nebo Road, and many others," Fasina assures. " So as a University I want to advise and admonish all of us to help this university in whatever little way you can" The Vice-Chancellor however praised the University Governing Council for their excellent plans for the university. "The Council Chairman is a goal-getter who is diligently working to elevate the institution to greater heights. He said. Earlier,  the Director of the Advancement Center and the Chairman of the Fasina Conference Center, Professor Olubukola Oyawoye in her welcoming address reeled out achievements the advancing the center She said "Restructuring of the Advancement Centre to accommodate two (Units), Organization of a day workshop, Commitment to University Advancement, Constitution of the University Advancement Board (UAB) Lunching of 36 refrigerators donated by the Fuoye Alumni Association "Establishment of Career Service Unit, Decoration of the Vice Chancellor as our No. 1, Advancement vanguard, 50 billion Endowment Fundraising during the 8th convocation of the University, Lunching of the Endowment Brochure which contained all items/structures needed by the University "Invitation and Appreciation letters were forwarded to over 58 dignitaries for the Endowment Fundraising Event, Nomination of dignitaries for Awards during the 8th Convocation, Marketing of Advancement products during the exhibition week among others"Many more achievements are on our way as this foundation laying is a testament to the encouragement and support of the Vice Chancellor and his team. In the same vain, we wish to also inform you that we are ambitious and innovative as we are proposing Fasina "On this note, we, therefore use this medium to solicit our support in kind and cash to assist us in bringing our dreams to life.
