Tinubu mourns Ondo SSG, Oluwatuyi

President Bola Tinubu has extended his heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Ondo State over the death of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Temitayo Oluwatuyi, popularly known as Tukana.Oluwatuyi passed away on Saturday at an undisclosed hospital after battling severe injuries sustained in a motor accident along the Ife-Ibadan Expressway. Reports indicate that he had been hospitalised for days before succumbing to his injuries.In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu described the late SSG as a committed and diligent public servant who contributed immensely to the development of Ondo State.The President expressed his deep sorrow over the loss, acknowledging Oluwatuyi’s legacy of distinguished service and dedication to the state’s progress.“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu commiserates with the Government and people of Ondo State over the death of Temitayo Oluwatuyi, the Secretary to the State Government.“The President condoles with the political stalwart’s family, friends, and political associates. Governor Rotimi Akeredolu first appointed him as the SSG in 2020,” the statement partly read.“Oluwatuyi served with distinction and many recognitions before his reappointment by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.“President Tinubu acknowledges the diligence of the former Chairman of Akure South Local Government and Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in strengthening democracy in the state.“The President believes Oluwatuyi served the people of Ondo State with unwavering dedication, providing the necessary backbone for policy coordination and implementation and significantly contributing to the state’s progress,” Onanuga added.Tinubu also offered prayers for the late SSG, stating, “The President prays that the Almighty God will receive the departed’s soul and bring comfort and solace to his grieving family.”
