Tears of Joy As Mrs Musa Presents Long Service Awards to Deserving DEPOWA School Employees, Graduates Class of 2024

A diligent employee shows persistent and hardworking effort in doing their job. Diligence is a virtue of the desirable employee. Show me a man that is diligent in his work; he will stand before Kings and not before ordinary men.Over 20 employees of the DEPOWA Schools are currently smiling to banks and decorating their Shelves with award plaques the President, Defence and Police Officers Wives Association DEPOWA, Mrs Oghogho Gwabin Musa presented to them today, 27 July 2024 at the Speech and Prize Giving Day and graduation ceremony of 41 students of the DEPOWA Daycare Nursery, Primary and Secondary School which is a significant milestone in the lives of the graduating classes.Speaking at the ceremony, Mrs Musa urged them to reflect on the valuable lessons you have learned within these walls and remember that education extends beyond your text books, the development of your character will determine your success in life. Appreciating the Commandant and exceptional staff who have worked tirelessly over the years to provide the students with a nurturing, inspiring and intellectual stimulating environment for learning, Mrs Musa said: "You have been their guide and mentors who have invested time and expertise in helping the students grow both academically and personally. We hereby recognize your unwavering commitment and dedication to the success of our students."She thanked parents, for trusting to carry on this journey over the years with their beloved children. "Your guidance and sacrifices have indeed played a vital role in shaping their character and providing the foundation for their success." "To my graduating students, you should know that character stands for, Compassion, Honesty,  Accounting, Respect, Adoptability, Courage, Trustworthiness, Empathy, anf Responsibility"Remember that education is a lifelong journey, not a destination. The knowledge and skills you have acquired will serve as a foundation for future successes. As you move forward, embrace challenges, be curious and never stop learning. Develop a growth mindset and always strive for excellence."Demonstrating diligence shows that you can efficiently do your job in a timely and cost-effective manner using relevant knowledge, skills, determination, and careIn his opening remarks, the Commandant of  DEPOWA School, Major SO Buzugbe stressed that the DEOPWA School graduated a total of 128 pupils in the lower and upper primaries on Wednesday Jul 24 while a total of 41 in the secondary school are graduating today.Major Buzugbe therefore encouraged them to justify the huge investments bestowed on them both by their  parents and the management of DEPOWA School by putting to use the skills and knowledge acquired from subjects offered – entrepreneurship courses inclusive, during the period of their 6-year career, as these will in no small measures add value and open up financial opportunities as they aspire higher in life.He said he is optimistic that they are better informed than they were before coming to the great institution. "Since resumption of 2023/2024 Academic Session, our students were engaged in several learning activities within and outside the school environment that shaped them towards becoming well informed personalities for positive impacts. "In your quest for higher degree always remember your family looks forward to a successful graduation ceremony from the institution of choice. Bear in mind that the choices and decisions you settle for could make or mar your future. I wish you well in the new phase of life journey that has begun today. Stay positive, focused and always be determined to succeed." he said DEPOWA Education Committee has been very supportive at different levels by providing professional advice tailored toward effective and efficient management of DEPOWA school.
