According to Margaret Adeseye, Controller General of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, firefighting teams from Lekki Phase II, Oniru, and Epe II were deployed to the scene to battle the blaze.The tipper driver and his assistant were tragically recovered from the wreckage, burnt beyond recognition. However, the gas truck driver managed to escape the scene unhurt.
