Hon. Ade Adeogun, a man with pedigree

In any well-ordered society, remarkable achievements are rarely accidental; they are often the product of years of experience, insight and deliberate preparation. True pedigree is defined by commitment, focus, discipline and an unrelenting dedication to excellence. Hon. Ade Adeogun, widely known as the “Beautiful Brand,” did not venture into politics by chance. His emergence was shaped by years of learning, mentorship and active engagement in the political process. This foundation, observers say, played a significant role in his performance during the 9th National Assembly. Having garnered experience across different sectors, Adeogun is regarded as a seasoned public servant who has demonstrated leadership capacity in various spheres. His tenure in the House of Representatives underscored the notion that effective representation is rooted in service rather than self-interest. During his time in office, communities within the Akoko South West/South East Federal Constituency witnessed a wave of development projects, many of which residents described as unprecedented. These included the construction of roads linking Oka-Odo Junction to St. Patrick’s College in Iwaro-Oka, as well as bridges in locations such as Owake, Ibaka, Ikanmu, Agba and Ikese. Other interventions comprised the building of community halls in Oka Odo and Idofin, the renovation of Oka Town Hall, and the construction of a transport garage in Oka. Educational infrastructure also received attention, with classroom blocks constructed in schools across Akungba, Supare and Ipesi, alongside renovations in several secondary schools. In the area of water and electricity, projects such as solar-powered boreholes in Ibaka, Idofin and Supare, as well as the installation of transformers in Etioro, were executed. Additional efforts included the reconstruction of key roads in Oba Akoko and the development of civic centres and public facilities. Adeogun’s interventions extended beyond infrastructure. He facilitated scholarships for hundreds of students, provided bursary awards, and supported schools with computers and textbooks. Farmers benefitted from agrochemicals and inputs, while artisans and small business owners received tools, grants and other forms of empowerment. He also facilitated employment opportunities for constituents in various security agencies and public institutions, as well as access to financial support programmes, including COVID-19 relief funds. Notably, some beneficiaries secured international scholarships through agencies such as NIMASA. Legislatively, Adeogun sponsored several bills and maintained an active presence in parliamentary proceedings, further strengthening his profile as a lawmaker. Stakeholders note that his record reflects a leadership style centred on tangible results and responsiveness to the needs of the people. They argue that his experience positions him as a strong contender to represent Ondo North Senatorial District, where challenges such as inadequate infrastructure, unemployment and limited industrial growth persist. As the political landscape ahead of the 2027 elections begins to take shape, supporters have called on party members and constituents across different demographics to rally behind his aspiration, describing it as a choice that could shape the district’s future.
