The Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI) has strongly condemned the recent surge in abductions and the growing wave of insecurity affecting various parts of Nigeria. In a statement issued by its President, Ambassador Emmanuel Obi Okafor, the association described the persistent kidnapping of innocent citizens and recurring violent incidents as “unacceptable,” noting that such acts continue to inflict fear, pain, and uncertainty on Nigerians. AANI expressed deep sympathy to the families of victims of kidnapping, violence, and other security breaches, offering thoughts and prayers to all affected communities during what it described as an extremely distressing period. The association called for urgent, coordinated, and decisive action to ensure the safe rescue of all abducted persons. It urged the Federal and state governments, along with security agencies, to intensify efforts, restrategise, and adopt more proactive, intelligence-driven approaches to safeguard lives and property. Reaffirming that national security is a shared responsibility, AANI reiterated its commitment to supporting the government in finding sustainable solutions to the country’s security challenges. The association also emphasized its readiness to provide strategic expertise, guidance, and partnership whenever required. AANI stressed that the safety of every Nigerian must remain a top priority and expressed confidence that with renewed national resolve, peace and stability can be restored across the country.www.twitter.com/spyetv
