The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Anambra State Command, has announced the assumption of duty by its new Sector Commander, Corps Commander (CC) Bridget Asekhauno. She becomes the 16th substantive Sector Commander of the state following her deployment by the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, mni, FCA, FCTA, CPFA. CC Asekhauno officially took over from her predecessor, CC Joyce Nnennaya Alexander, who has been redeployed to head the Delta State Sector Command, effective September 12, 2025. Asekhauno, a native of Fugar in Etsako Central Local Government Area of Edo State, CC Asekhauno holds a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Jos, a Master’s degree in Transport Management from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the National Teachers Institute (NTI). She has also completed several professional courses, including the Strategic Course in Command Responsibility (SCCR) at the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), and is a recipient of multiple awards such as the Road Safety Star Award (RSS) for outstanding service. Since enlisting into the Corps in 1996 as an Assistant Route Commander. Asekhauno has risen steadily through the ranks, serving in various states and holding key positions. These include Operations Officer in Osun, Accountant at Badagry and Lagos Island Unit Commands, Head of Special Marshals in Lagos, Public Education Officer in Kwara, and Deputy Corps Commander (DCC) in several capacities across Ogun, Rivers, Enugu, Abia, and the FRSC Headquarters in Abuja. She has also acted as Sector Commander in Ogun, Rivers, and Abia States before her most recent posting as CC Special Marshals at the FRSC Headquarters. Her career is distinguished by numerous service merit awards, commendation letters, and her role as a board member of the Kwara State Traffic Management Agency (KWATMA). She has also actively participated in national and international seminars, workshops, and community development projects. In her remarks upon assumption of duty, CC Asekhauno assured Anambra residents of her commitment to ensuring safer roads across the state.
