Ipinsagba drums support for Tinubu’s reelection

The Senator representing Ondo North, Dr. Olajide Ipinsagba, has declared support for President Bola Tinubu’s second-term bid in 2027, saying his performance so far shows he deserves another mandate.Speaking through his associate, Ayejuyo Temitayo, at a public lecture in Ikare-Akoko, Akoko North-East Local Government Area of Ondo State, Ipinsagba described Tinubu as a reformist leader who has touched critical sectors of the nation. “Tinubu touched different areas, he done performed well to be reelected,” he said.The lawmaker argued that the President’s policies were laying the groundwork for economic recovery and national progress. He added that a second term would consolidate the gains already made. The lecture, themed “The Role of Youth in Promoting Democracy and Good Governance in Ondo North Senatorial District of Nigeria,” drew youth leaders from across the zone.In his presentation, Dr. Charles Omotayo of the Department of History, Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo, said young people must move beyond voting alone and take active roles in governance.He stressed that youth participation was vital to accountability, transparency, and effective service delivery.The event also explored challenges facing young Nigerians in politics and how they can play stronger roles in shaping governance at all levels.
