By Our Correspondent The Chairman of the Coalition of All Civil Society Organisations in Ondo State (CACSOD), Alo Martins, has emphasized the need for collaboration to address rising food insecurity and strengthen rural safety in the state.Martins made this call during an advocacy visit to the Ondo State Security Network Agency, Amotekun Corps, at its headquarters in Akure.According to him "We are here to seek collaboration with Amotekun to address the rising food insecurity and strengthen rural safety in our state" He praised Amotekun for maintaining peace across the state and highlighted the need for joint efforts to protect agricultural productivity and local livelihoods."Amotekun has done a great job in maintaining peace in our state, and we believe that together, we can do more to protect our farmers and enhance food security," Martins said.He emphasized that the coalition seeks constructive engagement rather than activism, aiming to improve community vigilance and verified security reporting.Also, CACSOD Vice Chairperson, Princess Akindutire, reaffirmed the coalition's commitment to partnering with Amotekun to enhance peace, safety, and food security in Ondo State"This collaboration is expected to improve community vigilance and verified security reporting, ultimately contributing to the safety and well-being of rural communities in Ondo State.
