For several years, Samsung has been using its own memory and storage for its flagship devices. They will place orders with Samsung Semiconductor, but for the Galaxy S25 series, it is the first time they are using third-party components. In the Micron partnership, they shared that the Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra use their LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. Micron's RAM has 10% better power consumption, while the storage is the fastest with 4000 MBps/4300 MBps write and read speeds. In addition to Micron, the memory and storage used by the Galaxy S25 series are designed to use less power in order to process artificial intelligence features at a more efficient and faster rate. Both of these components are produced with 1β (1-beta) design and technology which also ensures long-lasting battery life of the device.
