NVIDIA Accused of Violating China's Anti-Competition Act

Chinese authorities have accused NVIDIA of violating the country's anti-competition act, seen as another pressure on the United States to resolve the tariffs imposed by President Trump this year. NVIDIA did not specify what the offense was, with NVIDIA issuing a statement that they would cooperate with authorities and comply with Chinese law.Since the Biden administration, exports of chips to China, especially those needed to train artificial intelligence (AI) models, have been restricted. With the trade war between the two countries showing no signs of abating, China has ordered local companies to stop using NVIDIA chips and instead switch to locally produced chips such as Huawei.Representatives from both countries are meeting in Spain to resolve various issues such as the sale of TikTok and wheat exports to China. Tariffs of up to 245% were imposed on China by Trump earlier this year for allegedly trading unfairly with the United States
