Apple Watch SE Plastic Reportedly Difficult to Develop
The Apple Watch SE is the most affordable watchOS smartwatch available right now. The only one on sale is the version launched in 2022 and it has been three years since it was replaced. The next replacement is said to be the Apple Watch built on plastic, but the latest one is reported to be difficult to develop.The new Apple Watch SE's problem with plastic is reported along with the Apple Watch with a built-in camera for AI features in 2027. Mark Gurman reported that Apple's design team did not like the new SE design. Then, they also got stuck trying to find other construction materials besides aluminum if they wanted to make it cheaper. Maybe the plastic construction is not durable or not suitable for a smartwatch according to Apple's standards?Anyway, the second-generation Apple Watch SE is still sold at a starting price of RM999. If you still want a watchOS watch for the best ecosystem, this may be the best alternative compared to the Apple Watch Series 10 and Ultra 2.
