Android Now Developed Privately by Google

The development of your Android operating system is undergoing a major change starting next week after Google announced that it will be done privately. Android is still an open source operating system but all development of the operating system will now be done privately by Google to streamline the flow and speed up the existing process.Previously, Google developed Android privately and also through the Android Open Source Project (AOSP). Other developers would provide suggestions for changes to features and systems through AOSP. But what happened was that Google also made changes through their internal development.As a result, before the final version of Android could be launched, any issues on both versions had to be patched by Google, which consumed additional resources that could have been avoided. Sometimes the Google and AOSP versions use different APIs, creating conflicts.With this change, Google will develop Android privately with AOSP source code updates for developers being published at a lower frequency.In summary, this change will only affect developers and the impact will not be felt by ordinary users who only use the final version of Android on their devices.
