Canon Launches EOS R50 V Camera for Video Use

Canon has launched two new video-focused cameras for the global market. The first camera is the PowerShot V1 which was also launched a month ago. The second camera is the EOS R50 V, which is said to be a redesigned version of the previous EOS R50 model and is now optimized for video use.The EOS R50 V comes with various interesting features including a live view button, a movie recording button on the front of the camera, and a tripod screw hole suitable for vertical shooting. This camera uses a 24.2MP APS-C CMOS sensor with a DIGIC X image processor. It is capable of recording 4K video at 60fps with support for 10-bit YCC 422 for sharper and clearer image quality. The Dual Pixel CMOS AF II intelligent autofocus system is also included to ensure fast and accurate subject tracking.The EOS R50 V is also designed specifically for content creators with features such as live streaming, four-channel audio recording (UVC/UAC, HDMI, Camera Connect, and Live Switcher), and dedicated zoom controls. The camera also supports five image editing presets compatible with Cinema EOS, including Canon Log 3 for enhanced editing. The EOS R50 V will be available in April 2025 with an estimated price of $649.99 (~RM2,880) for the body and $849.99 (~RM3,767.16) with the RF-S14-30mm F4-6.3 IS STM PZ lens.
