US Army Will Test Cargo Delivery Using Rockets

The United States has the highest military budget in the world. This allows them to appoint themselves as the world's police through headquarters located around the world. This creates logistical problems of supplies that need to be delivered quickly when needed. Conflicts in Asia, for example, will still require cargo planes to fly dozens of hours before arriving at their destination. Therefore, a cargo delivery system using rockets has been discussed for the past five decades.Recently, documents from the United States Air Force (USAF) revealed that they are now ready to test a rocket system carrying cargo under the Rocket Cargo Vanguard program. Two landing platforms will be built on Johnston Island located near Hawaii. When completed, the cargo rocket will be tested using this facility to see if it is practical to use in the real world.The USAF has previously stated its intention to purchase the Starship spacecraft from SpaceX for its own use to deliver cargo to any point on the earth's surface within an hour. In the future, the USAF hopes that if a conflict occurs, important equipment and supplies can be delivered quickly using this rocket system.Each rocket is targeting a cargo capacity of 82 tons, the same as the current Boeing C-17 Globemaster III. The USAF will not build a new system but will instead use SpaceX's Starship system. SpaceX has been awarded a $102 million (~RM531 million) contract in 2022 to make this dream a reality.Starship is designed to send astronauts to the moon, Mars and ultra-fast passenger transport. With a modified cargo space, Starship is believed to be able to be used for transportation purposes.
