TV3 and TV9's Azan Video Generated Using Artificial Intelligence

Generative artificial intelligence (AI) has been used to generate the opening montage of the TV series Secret Wars on Disney+ Hotstar and to produce a music video by the group KRU. For 2025, TV3, TV9 and Tonton channels will also use the call to prayer generated using AI.This latest visual replaces the visual that has been used for the past 10 years and was first aired during the Zohor prayer time yesterday. It features the voice of Sheikh Abdul Karim Umar Al Makki who is the Imam of the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque, Shah Alam. Almost 70% of the visuals used in this latest azam video were generated by AI.According to Ruzmi Kamarudin, Head of the Islamic Content Department of Media Prima, generative AI technology is used to show that technology and dakwah in the media can be combined to reach the target group.
