Nokia Design Archive Provides Access to Unreleased Concept Devices

In the late 90s to early 2010s, Nokia was the world's number one mobile phone brand. The Finnish company's innovations are still used today, with many disappointed that they are no longer offering smart devices after the license period to HMD Global ended.For those who want to get nostalgic, the Nokia Design Archive site has been opened by Aalto University. This site lists images of all the devices that Nokia has produced in the 90s to 2017, including devices that are just concepts. Visitors can also see design documents, advertisements, design sketches and how the idea of a mobile phone was produced by Nokia.Among the interesting ones is the concept phone that also functions as a multimedia player like a modern smartphone but was produced during the 90s. There is also an early prototype for the Nokia 7600 or better known by the nickname Nokia Daun in Malaysia. The prototype has more additional physical buttons and a more bizarre body design.Wearable devices that hang around the neck and body cameras have also been produced since the 1990s. The design is similar to several AI devices that were marketed last year as smartphone replacements.This indicates that Nokia successfully predicted the future that would require smartphones but they did not realize it earlier than Apple, which is why they are no longer among the world's largest mobile phone manufacturers.
