OpenAI Will Leave China Soon – Other AI Companies May Follow

OpenAI is the most famous company when it comes to the development of AI technology, with the introduction of ChatGPT and also their technology is being used by other technology companies like Microsoft and so on, it is not surprising to know that they are also expanding their use in China. But that seems to be coming to an end when OpenAI released a statement saying that they will leave the Chinese market on July 9. This is seen not because the Chinese government is blocking OpenAI services in China, but on the contrary, it is seen because the United States government does not want to be given access to AI services made by American companies from being used by the Chinese government.According to several reports present, other AI technology companies from the United States are also expected to exit the Chinese market in the near future if additional technology restrictions are announced soon.Even so, this is not something that will upset the Chinese government, as their own technology companies are already ready to take over from OpenAI and Meta with their own language models.Companies such as Tencent, Baidu, Alibaba and Zhipu are already ready to offer replacements to fill the void that OpenAI will leave behind, in terms of training, use of API tokens and so on. Chinese companies are expected to be able to replace OpenAI's AI services without so much trouble. In China, the bahasa-raya model needs to be approved by the government before it can be launched and used by any company in the country. The development of AI technology is also something that has been developed for a long time, and of the 200 companies that have applied for this certification, more than a hundred companies have already been certified for use by Chinese companies.
