Digital Game 2048 Successfully Converted Into Physical Version With RGB

Do you remember the game 2048? I remember, because after Flappy Bird was discontinued – this was the game that got me hooked and never stopped playing. Introduced in 2014 based on code by Italian developer Gabriele Cirulli that provides open source access. Now after 20 years, the originally digital game has been successfully transformed into a physical version, Tiny 2048.This project is part of the Tiny Games Challenge program. The developer of the physical version of this 2048 game, David, uses a WS2812b LED as a representative of different numbers. Then an accelerometer sensor is included for control either by tilting the device or by touch. Then all chips and motherboards use the powerful ESP32-S3 MCU which also supports USB-C charging. Each LED will move and when it becomes a different number, the light will change.Tiny 2048 is still in development and part of the Tiny Game Challenge. For now, David as the creator and developer still does not share the code for the public to build it themselves or will it become a real product. As someone who regularly plays 2048 to this day, Tiny 2048 is an interesting concept.
