WeTransfer Allows Users to Extend the Duration of Shared Files Up to 30 Days
If you often share documents or files online, you must be familiar with WeTransfer. It is one of the preferred alternatives for sending large files. However, the short file expiration period often causes discomfort among users. Especially when having to request the link again just to download the file sent.Realizing that, WeTransfer now allows users to extend the expiration period of a shared file with a new feature called Save for Later. This means users no longer have to rush to download a file before it disappears or have to ask the sender to resend it. This was announced by Wetransfer through a statement on the official social media site on Wednesday.Through Save for Later, users are said to be able to save the shared link to a separate file in the Wetransfer application and then access it again another day when needed. All transferred files will be neatly organized in the application for easy access. The expiration period limit is set to reach one month (30 days) but is only available for paid users. If the opposite is the case for free users, the expiry period is only between three to seven days. WeTransfer also explained that the extension period depends on the package subscribed to and the link can still expire immediately if not saved manually.The introduction has also been made following the recent takeover of WeTransfer by Bending Spoons, the company behind popular apps such as Evernote and Meetup.
