Samsung Galaxy Watch7 Review – Simple Design, Full Performance

Now smart watches have become part of the complement to the accessories of individuals who care about the modern lifestyle. Thus, the Samsung Galaxy Watch7 is present as one of the attractive options in the market. This watch comes with features and functions built to simplify the user's daily life and promise a better user experience. But is the promise really kept?. So through this review article we will share the experience of using it for a few days which may eventually help our readers to make an evaluation.SPECIFICATIONSSamsung Galaxy Watch71.5 AMOLED screen, 480 x 480, 2000 nitsExynos W1000 processor (3 nm)Memory/Storage 2GB RAM + 32GB StorageWear OS 5 Operating System5ATM protectionIP68Sensor Optical pulse scanner, accelerometer sensor, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, electronic compass, barometer sensor, bioelectrical impedance analysis sensor, running posture recognition functionOthers GPS, Galileo, Glonass, BDS, QZSS, Bluetooth 5.3, Microphone Speaker, IP68425 mAh battery10W chargingConstruction Materials Aluminum frame, Sapphire crystal glass screen, Rubber watch strapPrice of 40mm – RM1199 (BT) and RM1499 (LTE)44mm – RM1299 (BT) and RM1599 (LTE)DESIGNSamsung Galaxy Watch7 comes with a design that is not that different from the previous model. The design comes with a round shape that retains the look of a classic watch but is injected with modern and sleek elements. This watch is also available in two different sizes which are 44mm and 40mm. For the 44mm body size, it comes with a 1.5" screen while for the 40mm body size, the screen size is 1.3", AMOLED with a high resolution display along with Sapphire Crystal glass protection that makes it more durable. There are two buttons on the right side of the watch and both are nice to press and work well. There is no rotary knob on the side like most smart watch designs on the market. On the back there is a sensor with a plastic construction that is comfortable when placed on the surface of the skin of the hand. One thing we like about this smartwatch is the comfort it provides when wearing it. Coupled with its light body which is only approximately 28.9g which is much lighter when compared to the two smart watch models that I have reviewed before which are Redmi Watch 4 and Oppo Watch X. This kind of design makes wearing the watch all day comfortable without any issue of discomfort or discomfort. The watch strap can also be easily changed at will. This watch offer comes with two color options for each size, namely Green and Silver for the Galaxy Watch7 (44mm) and Green and Cream for the Galaxy Watch7 (40mm).USAGE EXPERIENCEWearing this Samsung Galaxy Watch7 smart watch we can say it's like having a mini smartphone placed on the wrist. There are many applications that can work well. In fact I am quite fond of the smoothness when scrolling the clock screen because it feels very smooth and it acts quite responsive and consistent. Not only that, the screen also has a peak brightness level of up to 2000 nits, making the level of screen clarity good enough even under the scorching sunlight. The use of this Samsung Galaxy Watch7 is together with the Samsung Wearable application which can be downloaded for free on the Play Store. The connection process is quite simple as it only requires us to turn on bluetooth and verify some simple settings. The Samsung Health application is also required so that all the health features available on this watch can be utilized. The Samsung Galaxy Watch7 uses the Wear OS 5 operating system which makes our usage experience for several days feel smooth and responsive. Through the Wear OS 5 system as well, there are more options for us to customize the background of the watch screen display according to taste. It is also equipped with a combination of 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. It is quite useful when this smart watch also comes with a new BioActive sensor that can track heart rate, sleep patterns and various other activities with high accuracy. The sophistication of this smart watch is further highlighted with the use of Dual-Frequency GPS (L1+L5) which allows it to receive signals from two different satellite frequency bands while also allowing it to produce more accurate location data. The vibration system is also very good, making it easy for us to be overlooked if we receive a notification. There are also various intelligence applications on this watch that can be used through the sensors built into it. Among them are heart rate trackers, sleep patterns and more with high accuracy. The payment function using Google Wallet and the Google Assistant feature can also be used to facilitate users' daily affairs. In addition, the Body Composition feature is also included with it being able to measure various body health data including fat levels, protein, BMI and various other useful information to monitor the condition and health of the body.BATTERYSamsung Galaxy Watch7 comes with a battery capacity of 425 mAh with 10W wireless charging which we can say is just satisfactory but maybe a little disappointing. However, it is highly dependent on the user's usage pattern. Normal usage such as checking notifications, monitoring heart rate and sleeping patterns for a few hours makes it last for 1 or 2 days. But if you like to do sports and use GPS and activate many features at a time then the battery usage will definitely be more making the battery life less. This requires the user to have to frequently recharge the watch because the battery life is relatively weak. The time taken for full charging from 0% to 100% takes about 1 hour more. With every purchase, users will receive a magnetic charger that comes with the box.WHAT'S IN THE BOX?1x Samsung Galaxy Watch71x Portable magnetic charger with USB-C head1x Set of manual and safety booksCONCLUSIONOverall, the Samsung Galaxy Watch7 is a useful, sophisticated smart watch with a sleek design and suitable for both men and women. The functions available on it are also able to provide many benefits to the user as well as being a complement to the modern lifestyle. Even so, I have to admit the battery life is a little disappointing with it only being able to last 2 to 3 days in normal usage patterns. What can we say, if you want a smart watch from the Samsung brand with a lower budget than the ultra version then you can get this Samsung Galaxy Watch7. The price offered for a Galaxy Watch7 (40mm) smart watch is RM1199 (BT) and RM1499 (LTE). Meanwhile, Galaxy Watch7 (44mm) is priced at RM1299 (BT) and RM1599 (LTE).PROIP68 waterproof.Peak brightness level 2000 nits.A good sensor for health and intelligence records.Has magnetic charging.CONSBattery does not last long. The bezel is quite thick.Charging is quite slow and limited.
