The Lenovo Yoga series of laptops is generally seen as a laptop offering that comes with a combination of beautiful and attractive designs, and combined with quite powerful processing power, making it a popular premium laptop series. We were given the opportunity to review the Lenovo Yoga Pro 7i laptop, their laptop powered by Intel Meteor Lake processors, most of which were shown off earlier this year. Lenovo has yet to introduce their Intel Lunar Lake offering, which is expected to be introduced sometime next year.Specifications And DesignLenovo Yoga Pro 7i Model NameDisplay Size 14.5″ 2880×1800, 16:10,120Hz, 400 nitsIntel Core Ultra 7 155H processor16 CoreNVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Graphics ChipRAM 32GB LPDDR5XInternal Load 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSDFull HD 1080P cameraI/O plug 1 x USB 4.0 Gen 3 Type-C (Thunderbolt 4)1 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C1 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A1 x HDMI 2.11 x 3.5mm audio jackWindows 11 Home Operating SystemCamera Security (Windows Hello)73WHrs battery, 4-cell Li-ion100W chargerPrice RM6249The Lenovo Yoga Pro 7i model we received for review features a 14.5-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2880×1800 with a 120Hz refresh rate and a higher 16:10 aspect ratio. For this model, two other screen display options are also offered, including a regular IPS display and a PureSight IPS display that come with different resolution and refresh rate options. This model is also powered by the Intel Core Ultra 155H processor, which is an Intel Meteor Lake processor launched for thin and light laptops. For this model, Lenovo also gave it 32GB of LPDDR5X memory and 1TB of PCIe4 SSD storage.Meanwhile, if you need a laptop that comes with powerful graphics processing power, it is also loaded with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 graphics card that is powerful enough to run a number of modern computer games and modern graphics processing software for professional creative productivity purposes. The aesthetics of the Lenovo Yoga Pro 7i laptop design are one of my favorite designs because of its rounded corners. The ultra-thin design with a thickness of 15.6mm and a weight of around 1.5kg also makes this laptop thin and light enough to be carried anywhere for work and leisure purposes.Speaking of aesthetics, the Lenovo Yoga Pro 7i comes with a power button on the left side of the laptop. When I used this laptop for the first time, I was looking for the power button on the keyboard.Unfortunately, the power button on this side does not come with a fingerprint scanning system, but if you still want to use the Windows Hello login feature, the built-in 1080p webcam is still ready to use.Speaking of the webcam, the Lenovo Yoga Pro 7i also comes with a physical switch that closes the webcam if you do not want it to be used, and are worried about the issue of computer hackers. For charging, this laptop comes with a 100W charger that can power both the CPU and GPU components, but if you’re just using this laptop for normal daily productivity purposes, the 65W charger is powerful enough to keep this laptop’s battery charged.User ExperienceAs I said before, the first-time use experience of this laptop is a bit strange, starting with finding the power button on the side of this laptop. However, after this, everything else is as usual, especially with Lenovo’s famously comfortable keyboard, to the OLED display that renders digital content beautifully. In terms of performance, the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor chip on this laptop seems powerful enough for a variety of daily tasks, from simple to complex, all in a thin and light frame. For me, who usually only uses my laptop to write daily articles, watch a little video and also to edit photos and maybe a little video, the combination of the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor chip and the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 graphics card is powerful enough to do everything from editing documents to high-resolution videos without any problems. The OLED screen display shown on this laptop model also shows accurate and vibrant colors at the same time, taking advantage of high brightness values for content processing at the best quality. Combined with speakers that feature Dolby Atmos technology, the video watching and listening experience on this laptop is quite satisfying. What I also like about this laptop is that its webcam can detect the presence of the user in front of it, and if you walk away, it will detect you as not being in front of the laptop, and will lock it for you. This can also be seen in the Intel Lunar Lake laptop models that we have reviewed before, and it is interesting to know that it is also utilized in this laptop.BenchmarksWe ran a few benchmark tests to see how well this laptop performs.PCMark 103DMark FireStrike ExtremeGeekBenchCrystalDiskMarkBatteryWith this new series of processor chips, Lenovo promises longer battery life compared to their previous laptop offerings. With the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor chip, this laptop is seen to last for around 7-8 hours on a full charge. This battery life can be obtained by setting the display brightness value to 50 percent, and used for daily productivity tasks such as writing articles, editing photos and watching videos. What's in the BoxHere's what you'll get in the box with every purchase of the Lenovo Yoga Pro 7i laptop:1x Lenovo Yoga Pro 7i100W USB chargerManualCoverThe Lenovo Yoga Pro 7i is a premium productivity laptop that comes with a versatile design combined with solid performance.
