Today, Samsung also launched a smart ring that has been teased since last February. It is a new category of wearables that can be used alongside other existing Galaxy devices including the Galaxy Watch. Many of the features on the Galaxy Ring are similar to the Galaxy Watch, such as monitoring the heart rate, ensuring the user sleeps well, tracking the movement of each site or even snoring. It uses three sensors specially designed for this ring. The Galaxy Ring has a battery life of up to 7 days and can be charged in a small storage case that has a 361mAh battery. The battery depends on the size of the ring, from 18mAh to 23.5mAh. The weight of each ring is 2.3 grams to 3.0 grams which is much lighter than competitor rings. This ring also has a Lost Mode feature to make it easier for users to find a lost ring. Like other Samsung wearables, the Galaxy Ring also requires the Galaxy Wearables app and only works well with Samsung devices. Interestingly, Samsung promises that no subscription will be charged for the Galaxy Ring. The selling price of the Galaxy Ring is $399 which is around RM1,876 with three color options namely Titanium Black, Titanium Silver or Titanium Gold. Samsung offers 9 sizes which are 5 to 13. It will not be sold in Malaysia for now.
