EKVE Highway Toll Collection Officially Begins on 25 October 2025

Toll collection for Section 1, East Klang Valley Expressway (EKVE) will officially begin at 12:00 midnight on 25 October 2025. Previously, the route was opened free of charge to users as part of the launch initiative on 30 August. However, toll collection will begin in line with the implementation of the full operational phase of the highway. The implementation is handled by EKVE Sdn. Bhd., the concessionaire company that is fully responsible for the maintenance and management of the highway infrastructure. This step also marks the transition to a fully operational system for Section 1 of the EKVE.Toll collection will be implemented entirely electronically. Therefore, users are advised to ensure that the balance in their e-wallet or Touch ‘n Go card is sufficient to avoid any inconvenience when passing through the toll plaza. The toll rates charged are based on the respective vehicle class.Section 1 of EKVE has a major interchange connecting important areas in the Klang Valley, namely Sungai Long, Bandar Mahkota Cheras, Hulu Langat and Ampang. This toll collection is expected to impact daily traffic flow, so users are advised to plan their journeys well and follow the instructions set out for a smooth journey.
