eHang VT35 Launched With Swaterbang Capability

eHang is one of the few “flying car” manufacturers that has successfully passed the prototype stage with several models produced and used for tourism purposes in China. They have now launched their latest model, the eHang VT35, which will operate as a flying taxi with swaterbang capability.Unlike the eHang EH216-S which has a pod design, the eHang VT35 has wings and a pusher propeller at the back for conventional horizontal flight. Eight electric engines will be activated for vertical takeoff and landing.The VT35 cabin can accommodate two passengers. Passengers only need to press the screen in the cockpit to go to their destination with information on speed, altitude and flight time displayed on the same screen. Each eHang VT35 can fly 200 km, up to 60 minutes and at a maximum speed of 216 km/h.It is not yet known when the eHang VT35 will begin operations. What is certain is that only eHang, Volocopter and Joby have plans to offer commercial flying taxi services in the near future. The eHang VT35 was previously tested in Saudi Arabia during the Hajj season but there is still no news that it will begin operations.
