Android Emergency Live Video Makes Emergency Search Easier

Google introduced the Emergency Live Video feature today, allowing Android device users to stream live video to emergency responders during an emergency. When needed, operators at emergency call centers can make a video call to the victim's Android device. This can then be connected to rescuers arriving at the scene.The video will use encryption so that callers' privacy is still protected. The Emergency Live Video feature will be supported on devices with Android 8 and above and equipped with Google Play Services. At this time, this emergency feature is only supported in the United States, Germany, and Mexico.With this, Android devices add another emergency feature after previously supporting emergency location services, accident detection, fall detection, and satellite-based SOS in select markets.
