Clicks Communicator Brings Back the Physical Keyboard

The Blackberry era ended shortly after the iPhone with a touchscreen was launched in 2007. There were several attempts from Blackberry, and HTC to continue offering devices with a physical keyboard but they all ended in failure. Recently, Clicks, a company that sells physical keyboard accessories for modern smartphones, has shown the Clicks Communicator with a design that resembles the classic Blackberry. It is marketed as a second smartphone specifically for doing work such as writing emails, writing documents and replying to long messages. It has a Blackberry-style physical keyboard paired with a 4.03″ OLED touchscreen, a MediaTek chip, 256GB storage, a 4000 mAh battery, a 50MP OIS main camera, and a 24MP selfie camera. The device uses Android 16 with the Niagara Launcher launcher. There is a 3.5mm audio jack and also support for microSD cards up to 2TB. A unique feature of the communicator is that there is an LED light on the power button on the right side. Users can set different light colors for specific applications or users. The back panel can be replaced with a variety of color options offered by Clicks. In addition, there is also global 5G network support, charging via USB-C, NFC and WiFi 6. Pre-orders have opened and it can be purchased for $399 (~RM 1621) each.
