The Palace has announced the heartbreaking news that the oldest member of the royal family Katharine, Duchess of Kent, has died aged 92.
Katharine preferred to be know as Mrs Kent and dropped her HRH style, spending more than a decade teaching music at a state primary school.
Katharine, Duchess of Kent, passed away peacefully at Kensington Palace on 4 September, aged 92, surrounded by her family.
