After seven years since their last trip to our shores, Ska-Punk legends Less Than Jake have announced a return to Australia with a belated 25th-anniversary celebration of Hello Rockview, their third studio album that cemented the Florida outfit’s place in that memorable (if only brief) Ska-punk explosion of the 90’s. In the 25 years since Less Than Jake have not only survived that fleeting musical movement but have grown into one of the best bands within the punk rock genre, with nearly a dozen epic releases and becoming a fan favourite with their energetic live shows (they also nail the shit out of their cover songs – hit up their TV EP on YouTube and you’ll see what I mean.) The band also released a new track last week, ‘Broken Words,’ a classic LTJ riff that’ll do the job of getting you in the mood for what I’m sure will be some epic punk rock shows. And yes, some Queensland shows conspicuously absent from the list – I reckon watch this space.
