Bitter Kind Unleashes Ominously Unrelenting Second Single, ‘The Shade’

Back in April we first introduced you to the heavy sounds of Melbourne act Bitter Kind, who launched onto the scene with debut release ‘Pariah‘ and now the boys are back with another heavy hitter for fans. Commencing with an eerie synth build up, it’s not long before Nathan Duke fills the void with distorted growls as drummer Tristan King creates further tension with his fills. The tension continues to build with Vas Papadopoulos’s ominous and unrelenting riffs which gives the track a menacing overall sound that just does not give up throughout the 4-minute duration. The unnerving track draws upon the process of losing someone once close to you as the band shares with Wall Of Sound: ‘”The Shade’ draws on the feeling of watching people that you are close to and care about slowly turning into someone that you just don’t recognise anymore and can no longer have in your life because of this negative change and how its a massive loss to lose the people you care about even though they are technically still here.” It’s no surprise why the lingering uneasy feeling attaches to the listener like some kind of curse, many of us will relate to the theme [...]
