Jim Chalmers’ Budget trust changes a ‘death tax’ by stealth

Under changes hidden in the fine print of Labor’s Budget unveiled on Tuesday night, income generated by discretionary testamentary trusts would be subject to a minimum 30 per cent tax rate.
