To start this thread off I bought the car in August of 2022 from TopRank importers in California. Car arrived on a multi destination big rig alongside G wagons and a couple exotic Lotus' cars 😅 Car has 22k miles at the time of arrival with a Nismo Cluster replaced by Nissan back in 1991 when the car had only 2,000 miles 🫡 the car was entirely stock other than some Grex pod filters and a no name 3" straight pipe exhaust. I drove it like this for a bit just as a daily and frequently going to cars and coffees and whatnot. Always been a huge fan of period correct pieces and grabbed myself an old Arc airbox. I was having a hard time finding brake pads in the US for the stock GTR non Brembo calipers, so I decided to upgrade them to Akebono brakes off of a 370z which I already had on my 350z and was no longer going to use. Even reused the Z1 Motorsports two-piece rotors that I had on my 350z. Also, time skipped just a little bit but grabbed me a brand-new set of LMGT4's from Nissan and was super stoked as these were always my favorite wheels and LMGT1/2's were way out of my price range. Bought myself a mid-logo Nismo intake collector with some uprated larger bore ITB's as a package deal. Honestly one of the worst jobs I've ever had to do in an engine bay at the time, and I personally promised myself If I ever had to do it again, I'm removing the motor. Along adding that I replaced an intake pipe with an Arc pipe that has an Arc BOV on it because I'm a sucker for old school. Painted my covers with some ford tractor blue spray paint and threw on a tomei emblem to match my future turbo setup. Started having issues with my car cutting out at random times whether idling or cruising so I took a look at my fuel hat and found that the rubber hoses had been disintegrating into the tank, so I decided to replace the pump, lines, filter, and flow / clean the injectors. I even replaced the pentile caps and O-rings as they had cracked due to age. My shocks were going bad as they were still the originals with some aftermarket HKS springs that I never knew I had until I wiped off the 30-year-old dust. So, I decided to buy a new set of HKS Coil overs and was very happy with the change. Removed the oem front pipe from the car to install my Tomei full titanium front pipe. Somehow never got a picture of the new pipe in the car but here is the shotty old one. It was time to take on a big job and to be honest I really wish I had signed up for this site sooner than I did because you guys would have probably warded me off from making this bad part choice but hey, we live and learn. Have been worried since I got the car about the ceramic wheel turbos, so I bought a bolt in kit from Tomei. Grabbed their 8260-billet twin turbo kit which I decided on for some reason knowing I have a stock unopened motor that wasn't going to be able to make use of the turbos. OH, and the car is now on a Haltech Platinum pro with a wideband controller. These are the turbos that are still in the car as of making this post and I'm honestly not too happy with them as I'm in peak boost at right around my shift point so they're basically useless to me. They do sound really nice all things considered and other than them sending me the wrong thread banjo bolts for half of the kit it wasn't the biggest pita to install. With the install of the turbos, I upgraded my in-tank fuel pump to a walbro 450, added some Injector Dynamics 1050cc injectors with a Tomei FPR and Radium fuel rail. Notice the neat brake master stopper I got, an old endless unit that I think is really neat. Last thing I added onto the car before taking it to the Dyno was a Greddy intake suction kit and a MAC valve to control boost. Wanted a button on my steering wheel for launch control so I added in this Momo wheel which I like, couldn't retain the switches for my indicators though, the ones that automatically turn off my indicators after a certain degree of the wheel is turned. Threw on some Advan A052 tires and took my GTR to the tail of the dragon for the second time but first time with a real setup. Went with my buddy who was in his Alfa romeo! This is pretty much where I am at currently other than my Auto garage TBK front bar which I'm proud of. I had a big build / overhaul of the car planned for this winter but as most parts haven't arrived from Australia and Japan, yet it may have to start early to mid-next year. Parts I have ready for install: PRP Billet high volume oil pump PRP HICAS delete bar PRP Rear Billet diff cover PRP Fuel rail with 2000cc bosch injectors and FPR PRP R35 coil kit PRP Head drain kit PRP Torque split controller PRP trigger kit PRP water pump pulley Haltech 2500 with wiring specialties harness Kelford 272 in/ex cams, springs, and cam gears. Driveshaft shop front 1000hp rated axels Koyorad radiator Plazma man intercooler There are things I'm looking to grab that I haven't yet decided on like which turbo I want to run on the Artec manifold I plan on grabbing, what to do about the clutch and flywheel, what front and rear diff to run, whether or not to throw a PPG or whatever other brand gear set in the transmission, I've been told the rear axles are good for a bit and that it's the fronts that majorly have issues but let me know if this is something I need to worry about. Not too sure on what to do inside the fuel tank but I may purchase a FPG or Radium drop in hat. I'd really like any feedback you guys could give me I'm very new to modifying cars in general. I've done a few LS builds here in the states with twin turbo setups and whatnot, but this is my first manual car so I'm not sure what the thresholds are. If I'm missing anything I'll add it later
