Series 1 R33 coupe rear retainer (for windshield seal)

Hi all, Not sure what my best option is but my s1 r33 coupes rear windshield retainer is cracked and brittle. Unfortunately the series 1 retainer is discontinued. Wondering if anyone knows if the series 2 retainer will fit? Or if there's any other options... please see the images incase you arent familiar with the part im referring to (this part is under the seal)
