Condemned building in downtown Baltimore demolished after partial collapse

After partially collapsing on Sunday, one of the two Eutaw Street buildings condemned by the city’s housing department was being demolished Monday evening, as transportation officials advised that street closures likely will continue through Tuesday’s commute. The emergency demolition of 310 N. Eutaw St. in downtown Baltimore saw construction crews taking apart the building from top to bottom, including removing trees near the building. Glass, wood and bricks fell as construction crews used power tools, crowbars and shovels to chip away at the condemned structure leaning on 308 N.
