Cyprus sees strong growth in hybrid and electric car sales

The registration of hybrid and electric vehicles in Cyprus experienced a robust rise in the first eight months of 2025, according to a report released on Monday by the state statistical service. The report showed that the share of electric cars increased to 4.8 per cent in January-August 2025, up from 3.3 per cent in the same period last year. Hybrid vehicles saw an even sharper rise, climbing to 43.6 per cent from 36.8 per cent in January-August 2024.
