Watch live: Trump hosts Mar-a-Lago news conference in first public appearance for days

Donald Trump is scheduled to make his first public appearance in days at an impromptu news conference from his Mar-a-Lago estate Thursday.The former president announced the event just hours before amid questions about why he had not been seen on the campaign trail for days.The news conference can be live-streamed here.Apart from posts on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump has been largely absent this week while his opponent Kamala Harris and her newly-named running mate, Gov. Tim Walz (MN), have criss-crossed the country with rallies in swing states including Pennsylvania and Michigan.ALSO READ: 'Easy to live in Trump’s head': Harris aides hint at how they are rattling ex-president'Trump’s running mate, Sen.
