Alex Jones and his fans are intrigued by Putin offer of sanctuary to conservatives

Russian President Vladimir Putin has seemingly invited conservatives chafing under "neoliberal ideals" in their home countries to move to Russia, where he claimed "traditional values reign supreme," and Alex Jones suggested he might take him up on the offer. The Russian president signed a decree offering assistance to foreigners seeking temporary residence in his country and expanding the quota approved by the nation's government and setting aside a requirement for knowing the Russian language, history and basic laws, and Jones urged his followers to consider sanctuary there."This new decree blows the lid off the establishment's agenda, letting freedom-loving folks bypass the usual bureaucratic nonsense like language tests or history exams," Jones posted on X. "If you're ready to reject the insane policies of your home countries that push these destructive, anti-human, neoliberal agendas, Russia is rolling out the red carpet! The Russian government is about to compile a list of countries poisoning minds with these twisted ideals, and the Foreign Ministry is gearing up to issue visas to true patriots as soon as September! It's time to stand up for spiritual and moral values!"Applicants will be assessed on their rejection of their home country's policies "aimed at imposing destructive neoliberal ideals on people," and other social media users suggested Jones might flee the country to avoid paying $1.5 billion for his false claims about the 2012 Sandy Hook massacre that killed 20 first-graders and six educators in Connecticut.ALSO READ: ‘Absolutely essential’: Son of Oath Keeper Stewart Rhodes is all in for Kamala Harris"Alex Jones seems enthused by the opportunity -- that was already there -- for him to flee to Russia," said legal expert Marcy Wheeler. "Getting drafted is gonna suck for him.""First, MAGA complains that everyone can just come here, across our 'open borders,'" added X user Amy. "Then they complain that people have to take tests to become citizens."Other social media users brought up the gruesome fate of 64-year-old Russell Bentley, a Texas man who died under mysterious circumstances after fighting pro-Russian separatists in Ukraine between 2014 and 2017, but Jones' fans seemed to be intrigued by the invitation."I bet a lot of people are going to take him up on it," said X user FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! "The world has gone crazy and now Russia seems like the place to go.""To be honest, Russia is looking a lot better than the US these days!" added X user Chris Culcasi."This is completely sad that Russia has to offer safe haven to people from the west," said self-described "independent thinker" Dale Richardson. "That shows how corrupt the West is. How have the tables turned.""Good, if those still wishing to make satanic hand gestures and hidden eye symbols keep doing it and don’t stop Alex Jones I might just do that," added X user Robin Cope.
