Minnesota school districts deny that Tim Walz put tampons and pads in boys' bathrooms

A CNN fact-checker said he called 10 school districts around Minnesota to fact-check whether schools put tampons and pads in boys' bathrooms, an accusation lobbed on Fox News' "The Five," a story FoxNews.com, other Fox News hosts, and right-wing outlets after Gov. Tim Walz became Kamala Harris' running mate.Even Donald Trump told a Montana crowd, “He ordered tampons to be put into boys’ bathrooms. Do we have any children here? Please close your ears. He ordered tampons in boys’ bathrooms. ... He signed a bill that boys’ bathrooms — all boys’ bathrooms in Minnesota — will have tampons.”CNN's Daniel Dale called school districts to see if the claims carried any weight, he said in a post on X. All of them said they "do not provide tampons in boys' bathrooms, because the law signed by Gov.
