Pennsylvania conservatives panicked Trump is 'not even trying' to win key voting bloc

Conservatives in Pennsylvania are growing increasingly alarmed that Donald Trump is not making a concerted effort to win the state's 19 Electoral College votes which could mean the difference between a presidential win like 2016 and a loss to now-President Joe Biden in 2020.According to a report from the Financial Times by Edward Luce, there is a growing belief that the Trump campaign grew complacent when running against Biden and has made no adjustments now that the former president is facing Vice President Kamala Harris in November.In particular, there is concern that the former president could be making inroads, but isn't, with the state's Hispanic voters which, in turn, could smooth the path back to the Oval Office.ALSO READ: Harris has figured out Trump’s greatest liability"The path to the White House runs through Pennsylvania — America’s largest must-win swing state. Yet Donald Trump’s campaign is so far making no discernible effort to woo its fastest-growing demographic," Luce wrote before adding, "Numbering roughly 600,000 adults in a state that was settled by margins of less than 100,000 votes in the past two elections, Pennsylvania’s Hispanics are where the votes are."Philadelphia-based GOP consultant Albert Eisenberg agreed with that assessment, stating, "We seem to be committing an unforced error. Hispanics could be the deciding factor.”Victor Martinez, owner of Pennsylvania’s largest Spanish-language radio network, pointed out that Biden had already been focused on those voters before stepping aside and that Trump's people are still missing in action.“What confuses me is why the Trump campaign is not even trying to reach Spanish speakers. As a businessman, I would go bankrupt if I ignored my fastest-growing audience," he explained while adding that Harris, who has only been campaigning as the Democratic presidential nominee for about a month, has already done a call-in to his show.Luce added, "The Trump campaign’s apparent indifference may partly stem from complacency. Until Biden stepped down in late July, Trump was regularly leading the Pennsylvania polls without offering so much as a buenos dias." Former GOP Rep. Charlie Dent (R-PA), no fan of Trump, added, "Trump doesn’t seem to be making a serious effort. The focus is still all about Maga [Make America Great Again].
