Russian Missile Hits Hotel Where Journalists Were Staying

Ukraine — Five people were killed in Ukrainian shelling in the Russian border region of Belgorod, officials said Sunday, while Russian forces attacked a hotel in eastern Ukraine, leaving a journalist missing and two others wounded. Twelve other people were wounded in the Russian village of Rakitone, 38 kilometers (23 miles) from the Ukrainian border, including a 16-year-old girl who was reported to be in critical condition, Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said. Another man was also killed in a separate drone strike in the border village of Solovevka, he later wrote on social media. Russian forces attacked a hotel overnight in the eastern Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk in Donetsk, wounding two people and trapping one under the rubble, Donetsk governor Vadym Filashkin said. The men were reportedly journalists from Ukraine, the United States and Britain.
