Trump in Arizona, criticism of Biden and Harris on border security

During a visit Thursday to Arizona, a state bordering Mexico, former President Donald Trump echoed his strong message on border security. “To my right is what we call the Trump wall. This was the wall that was built under President Trump“, said Paul Perez, the president of the Border Patrol Union who accompanied Mr. Trump during this visit. “To my left, we have what we call the Kamala wall, which serves no purpose because it is not erected“, he added. The visit is the fourth in a series of events this week in what are known as battleground states as Democrats hold the National Convention in Chicago. Speakers on the floor of the House on Wednesday night accused Mr. Trump of using the border to galvanize his base by lashing out at immigrants. The former president was joined on Thursday's border visit by several mothers whose children were allegedly killed by illegal immigrants during the Biden administration. Mr. Trump often focuses on attacks by illegal immigrants, although some studies have shown that people living illegally in the US are less likely than Americans to be arrested for violent or drug crimes. “I really want everyone to understand how important border …
